I remember back when we used to recycle glass containers, and we didn't have to use plastic or dispose of it.

Yep... We were in a food store last week and on one of the end caps was "ORGANIC, PLANT BASED PEANUT BUTTER". And it was priced about $2 more per jar than JIF or Skippy..... Really ????? Some of the advertising and marketing is to those who honestly can't find their way home from the mailbox ....

Unfortunately there are more and more and more of those people every day. So sad. The propaganda machine has taken over actual thinking for yourself.

Just heard on the news that using less anesthesia helps fight climate change... Didn't stick around to hear the story.

The "plant based" is funny. Plant based vs what? I haven't seen artificial pb but it wouldn't surprise me. The "organic" is a whole other issue that some folks don't understand. A freing of mine owns a small farm and sells produce at his farm stand. The price is much higher because of the laws required to meet "organic" labeling standards. No artificial fertilizer can be used, no pesticides, and he said they can't even use the same baskets or bins that have held the non-organic produce. There are many other rules such as how close you spray pesticides to an " organic" field, etc.

During the height of Covid the area Walmart distribution center donated pallets of food that were nearing out of date. In those pallets were boxes of bananas, 2 layers in each box, 1 layer were just bananas, the 2nd layer had the "organic" band around each bunch. Curious what was the difference other than the band?.

108 mile rating is for the sunny hot Florida area take it far up north to cold climate and range might be only 50 miles. Nope, not for me I'll stick to my fuel hungry Ram dually.

Our 35 yr. old son had a spooky experience the day before yesterday. On his way to work, before daylight, 2 lane curvy high speed road he came upon a 3 car wreck. A dually, another pickup, and he learned later a Mitsubishi car. The dually was blazing away with a driver inside. Our son pulled him out through the window. He no more than had him out than the truck started exploding, the batteries and the tires. Said it sounded like bombs. He couldn't tell how much of the fire was from fuel or electrical, or upholstery, etc. He never saw the Mitsubishi whose driver didn't survive. Assumed it was well off the road in the woods.
All this to say the son told us he would have to have a gun pointed at his head to drive a battery powered car. The truck batteries exploding were incredible. Imagine sitting on a huge battery in a EV.

Like most of us refinery rednecks the son has to wear Nomex FRC (fire resistant clothing) but I don’t know if that would have helped if the situation went downhill.
