We watched a local news story at some spot we parked that stated nowadays the average 40 year old man did not know how/where to check the oil or any other fluids & had absolutely no idea how, if it has one or where to put the jack or use the spare if needed.
My FIL was one of those guys, he could build houses all day long, but had absolutely NO mechanical skills. My 2 BILs are those guys in that news article, they don't know how to open the hood.
