Dish Network DVR

I have a VIP722K DVR here at the house that I want to use in the trailer. I am stumped at what Dish I will need to run it while camping.

Any Dish Installers or anyone that has done this care to chime in?

We are looking into Dish Network, I dont think the dvr can be used the dish,

We are considering is the carryout automatic portable satellite antenna
GM-1518
I believe from what we have read you can use 2 recievers with this model. As of yet thats all i know until we get to the Dish Network distributer.

If you have the proper Satelite Dish on a Tripod. Why do you think you would not be able to use it?

I guess what we have been looking for is the ability to use two recievers in the fiver so we havent looked for a dish that is set up for the dvr option

You will need a HD Dish Antenna that is capable of providing a signal to the receiver. The LNB should receive signals from 110,119 and 129 Satellite if I remember correctly. I also have the same Dish receiver and HD antenna on my house, but we have chosen to use the Dish Tailgater antenna and a different receiver that cost us $5 a month more. We have had pretty good luck with this arrangement as long as we can get a clear line of site to the southern sky.

Jim,A Carry Out is in my near future. Just not in the cards right now. Just trying to get a Dish up and going for the time being until we can fund a Full Auto Dish.

I found this one and thinking about getting it. But I need to figure out how to wire it as our old Dish 500 was alot less complex with an old 311 receiver that I used in our motorhome than this DVR.

bought the Dish 1000.2 or Dish Pro. It will work with a Dish DRV -HD receiver. The carry out type Dish will only get satellite 119 and you need to get satellite 129 to receive HD broadcast.

Get out of the coach and go hiking. \ fishing / birding. Enjoy God creation... That is what the DW says

I have checked into the same thing all over the net, but Dish seems to require some more specific dish requirements than Directv. What I have done temporarily to workaround until I can find another Dish 1000, is use my laptop to access the Sling adapter and the DishAnywhere website with an HDMI out on the laptop. This way I can watch whatever I want, and leave the dish and receiver at home. Only thing is, ya need a decent Wi-Fi connection or good 3g reception for cellphone modem to laptop to get a good picture, but it does work.

I broke down and bought the carryout on Ebay for 450.00. Then got the ladder mount from Newegg for 193.00. Hooked it up to the DVR in the trailer at Pismo Beach. Worked perfectly. Just need to figure out how to get both TV's to work on it like it does at home.

Any one care to share how they have there DVR wired to suppoert 2 TV's?
