New AC unit

I have a second GE ac unit i have aquired for my passport 268BH. i understood that the wiring for the unit was already in place over the queen size bed. I know there is already a fuse and swith for it in the fuse box, but i cannot find the wiring when i take the vent that is currently in the spot for the 2nd ac unit out. Am i missing something? I thought this would be a pretty simple install, but am not down for wiring the AC unit in. Anyone have experience wih installing a 2nd AC?

If I recall correctly, the wiring for mine was not behind the vent but inside a covered ceiling junction box about a foot away. I had to route it from there to the unit when the connections were made.

Don't know if your RV has InCommand and/or if you can go ducted or will be going non-ducted, but there are many posts here regarding installing a 2nd A/C install. Here is one that helped me, although it involved Dometic units.

If nothing else, it will give you an idea of what to expect.

In looking at the specs for your Passport 268BH (and also the 268BHWE), are you certain you are pre-wired for a 2nd unit? Keystone shows the unit as coming standard with a 13.5K A/C and offers and optional 15K upgrade....it doesn't indicate the option of adding a second unit, just a bump up in size from the standard.

Is your trailer wired for 30amp or 50amp service?
