We purchased our Cougar last year and today went out to start cleaning it up for trips to find out DC (digital control panel) in non functional. Unable to start or turn on. Anyone else experience this and how do I fix it?

First check the battery and the battery cutoff switch. If it's "been a year" you likely have a "stone dead battery" regardless of the cutoff switch setting.

Staying plugged in won't mean much after a year if you haven't been maintaining the batteries. Have you been refilling the water on a regular basis?

The plugs work. The DC is dead and controls the slide, lights etc. can’t use it anything until DC is up and working. I have a portable heater in there now. But would like to remedy this. Should the battery be in off while plugged in with shoreline?

I remove my battery, keep it warm, water checked, and charge it monthly. Doesn't take much.

Ok. So if I get battery charged or buy new ones, will this fix the DC? It’s been working until now?

Are you sure the battery switch in in the “on” position? …there has been posts in the past where the switch is kinda vague as far as off and on…I’d switch it the other way for the heck of it

charge the battery with a separate charger, if the battery wasn't totally discharged, everything should work. If not I would also check the fuses on the Power Converter.

They’re on. Won’t pull out. It’s clear to see.

Thank you. The fuses inside? Sorry to be a bit slow. Lots to know. And the fuses in the breaker area aren’t marked. Am I looking for a fuse that’s bad or??

I would work on the battery first and make sure it is good. If you aren't knowledgeable or comfortable with 12V or 120V electrical I wouldn't mess with it. Make an appointment with the dealer, if its out of warranty call a mobile RV technician.
Some folks are ok with trouble shooting, some aren't.

If you get a new battery then I would take a picture of the old battery connections….make sure you hook it up exactly as it was or you can blow the reverse polarity fuses

If you have any idea how to use a multimeter or a neighbor can help you then you can check the old battery
