Electrical problems

We just bought a new avalanche Saturday bought it home that night everything worked fine. Sunday my wife started loading it up didn't notice anything wrong. Sunday night I go out there and light where dim there air was working. She went out to it Monday and only the ceiling fan and the outlets are working. No a/c or lights or awnings won't work or slideouts and no power to the hydraulic system. I've tripped ever breaker .

It sounds like your 12 volt battery is dead. Check that and verify why it isn't charging.

Is your battery cut off switch engaged? If the switch is on (can not pull the key out) then your battery will not charge from the converter. Good luck.

It is not been touched from the dealer and it was working fine there. It is on where you can't pull it out.We are hooked up to 50 amp .

Check the reverse polarity fuses on the converter. The dealer had to add the battery & it only takes a get touch on the wrong post to blow those fuses.

There are two fuses on the converter/power center panel that are marked "REVERSE POLARITY" and are probably 40 amp (red) fuses. They are not in the "row of 12 volt fuses" but off to the side as in this photo.

Pull those fuses and check them to make sure they are good.

If those two fuses are good, then disconnect your battery and check the voltage at the battery cable clamps. You can not check the converter output with the battery connected, so you need to remove the cables and check for 13.6 VDC on the cable clamps. If you have that, the converter is good and the problem is almost guaranteed to be your battery. If you do not have 13.6 VDC on the cable ends, then the problem is either the converter, the trailer wiring (unlikely) or one of the two or three "DC mini-breakers" mounted adjacent to where the red (black in older RV's) battery cable connects on the other end of the positive battery cable.

My guess is that your battery is not charging, probably because one or both of the reverse polarity fuses is blown on the power distribution panel in your circuit breaker/fuse panel box.

Plugged into 50A. No power to A/C but AC outlets working. Breakers (AC) tripped. To my thinking, the 12V issues are because the converter isn't converting as it should but seems to me the issue would be on the AC side. I would first check power at the 50A plug to ensure 120V on each leg. I would then check the power cord for the same and then check connections to breaker assembly. A multimeter would come in handy.

Great! Glad you found it, a common error.

I'm guessing you're referring to the battery disconnect?
Whatever, glad you're back in business.
