Ford Trailer TPMS???

Just purchased a new Ford F350 King Ranch DRW. One of the selling features was the TPMS is incorporated into the dash settings of the Ultimate Trailer Tow package.

But I also found out after the fact, that the Ford factory TPMS sensors that go inside the tires will NOT work with full steel case tires!

Last summer I put six new Sailun S637 tires on my Raptor.

Has anyone ever tried to use internal wheel/tire TPMS sensors on a steel case tire?

I know I can get the aftermarket valve stem TPMS systems, but it would have been GREAT to be able to use the factory Ford system that I paid extra for.

It may not be a concern for you, but you might also confirm just "what" the Ford TPMS actually monitors... In previous models, the optional trailer TPMS only monitored pressure. They did not monitor temperature. So, even if the monitors will transmit through steel cased tires, they may not give you as much information as the aftermarket systems.
