Success 5500 repaired

My onan With 500 hours was flooding . I remove the carburetor from the gen took it to the shop it wasn’t a difficult job . I removed the bowl and Diaphragm needle and flushed it with Seafoam . I found a very small cardboard o ring loose on the chock plate after scraping that off I put the carburetor back on the 5500 onan worked like new. The gen fuel has always been drained and stable used. I would have removed the float but the rod was pressed in. That would have been trouble if the carburetor didn’t stop flooding. The other problem will be removing the next to Impossible baked on plug caps. Is there a trick to removing the seized on plug caps?

Congrats on your repair!! I have a set of needle nose pliers with angled ends, and I have used needle nosed “hose” pliers that have rounded tips. Both from “nobody’s” favorite Harbor Freight.
