A/C thoughts

Hi kids,

Here we are at Interior, SD in the heart of the badlands. 96F, camped in a no shade zone. The 318SAB is about 85F inside just after cooking dinner. It is very dry here, which helps a lot.

The 15k BTU/hr Dometic is pumping out cold air at 60F, that's a 25 degree delta T, pretty impressive in my book. A couple of fans (remember those things from the '50s?) make it quite agreeable. The A/C uses R410a refrigerant vice R22. Very Eco friendly, but since it has a lower critical temp, it begins to lose efficiency faster than R22 as the temp goes up, however, it is holding its own here in SD.

Shades down, minimize lights and heat producing stuff and it is working OK.

I do wish that someone would make aluminized backed shades instead of the stupid brown, it would make a world of difference.
