We have got about a foot of snow. Should I try to clean off roof I haven't in past years and have not had a problem. Just not to excited to be on a slippery roof that high and then damage the roof then I would have bigger ptoblems. I think I answered my own question.

Your roof will not have any problem with being able to support "about a foot of snow". It will be fine and; as you said, you can't do any damage to yourself or to the roof by keeping both feet on the ground!

If you thought you had to remove snow greater than a foot deep at some point, I think I would use a ladder and a push broom rather than walking on a roof with underlying ice. You probably agree, but I had to say it in case it needed saying.

In the late fall i give the roof one last look over for any sealant issues that need to be addressed. hopefully in 6 weeks we will be at our host site.

We just got a ton of snow recently. As it were, I was in mexico for work when it happened (my plan was to be sure to clear the roof as best I could when it snowed heavy).

I drove to the storage site when I got back, prepared to have to do this, and I think I may have had maybe an inch on the roof? Lucky me I guess, some others had more.

I am thinking that because everyone near me had seemed to move out and mine is all by its lonesome, that the wind must have been whipping through and not dropping that much on the trailer. Its funny, I just drove past it and went home.

When one looks at the amount of weight of an average cu.ft of
snow (spit!), and compare it to the rated weight/sq.ft. for the
roof, or just compare it to your weight (for when you walk on it), .....
the snow (spit!), isn't that much...

I'm in Fairbanks, AK, so snow is not unknown to us by any stretch of the imagination... I currently have probably 14" to 16" on mine right now (had to clear it off to move it in November) and it seems to be doing fine. I know in years of driving around town almost no one clears off the tops of their rigs until they are ready to move them in the spring, even in the fairly heavy snow years. We are so far under snowed this year that I'm not worried about it...

We get plenty of snow here also. No one ever removes the snow. IMO, the span is so short there would need to be 3 feet of very wet snow before I would be concerned. With the short span much of the snow blows off. Also with no heat below you don't get the 1-2 inches of icy water that adds a lot of weight to normal flatter roofs on a heated building. We have had 55 inches of snow since Jan 1 and there is only about 12-14 inches of snow on our roof. I like a layer of snow on our roof as long as possible, UV protection.
