How to run wire above ceiling
I am trying to run a wire from the fuse block to the new powered vent that I put in on my 2013 Cougar 297RKWS. Any ideas on running the wires without cutting holes in the ceiling? I tried to run a fish tape but it ended up wrapped with fiberglass. Also I need to tun it down the wall.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

pakuma, Howdy;
Perhaps if you were to share some more details about your project,
like where the vent is to be located, is it 12vdc or 120vac, where in
relation to the power source it is located, which wall are you considering
running the wires (aft or a side wall), anything else you may think of
that will help someone to help you. The better the information the better
the help.

Most folks just tap off of wires already existing in the ceiling. Remove the trim from the vent and reach in towards both sides. You should find several heavy 12v wires up there. Be sure not to use ones that are switched for lights. I used the heaviest one that was there and then pulled fuses till I found the one for it ... tapped off with another lower amp fuse to protect the fan.
Let us know what you find. Other than that a fish tape should work if you can keep it above or below the batting.(not always too easy) Removing ceiling lights and going a little at a time.
Good luck, Hank

If you slide a plastic bag over your fish and tape it you'll find it'll slide pretty easily over or under your insulation

I am installing a maxxair power vent, 12v, in the middle of the ceiling in front of the fridge. I will look for the wires that were suggested. I am also wiring a switch so that I can turn the electric water heater on from inside, so far that project is going swimmingly.

If you look at "Modifications and Upgrades" section you'll see a Mod I just completed regarding that water heater switch labeled "Install Remote Water Heater Switch" including photos with instructions.

For the water heater switch I removed the useless back light switch and installed a rocker switch in the control panel.

look for existing openings, like speakers, vents, etc. open them and fish from opening to opening.

Hey Pakuma, that sounds good what you did there. I left my back light switch intact and wired a LED light that I mounted behind the exterior door step to that same circuit. So when a family member or I see the control panel is illuminated it just reminds us that we left that light on.
