294RK Portable Satellite Antenna Hook Up

I recently purchase a King Flex portable satellite antenna to watch Directv while camping. The system works great but only if I run the cable directly to the antenna to the box (putting the cable thru the window). My trailer has an outside docking station with connectors marked "satellite" and "cable", can't I hook up the antenna there? I tried the satellite hook up but it did not work. Has anybody done this?

Your satellite connection on the exterior will be a separate coax from the cable connection. Once you run the coax (probably RG6) from the antenna to the "satellite in", then you need to find the connection inside. Most likely its where the cable out to the main TV is.

I'm going to assume yours is like most, the plate that has the booster button and cable out, will have another separate connection. That is the sat signal, and you need to go from that to the "sat in" of the receiver. From there you go the the TV.

Satellite input

I have 2 catv inputs in the water works cabinet and 2 catv inputs behind the TV in the living room. None were marked. By trial and error i determined which one was for cable TV and which one was for satellite. I would have thought they were interchangable, but they are not. I subsequentely marked each and everything works perfectly.
