toliet paper and laundry
We have just bought a keystone Avalanche 2011 rk. I can't figure out where to put the toilet paper holder where it won't be in the way does anyone have any suggestions? Also any place to put a hamper that won't be in the way and take up a lot of room? I am not sure that this is the right place to post this or not I am new at this stuff.

I would probably look at the closet in the bedroom for the hamper. As for the TP, have a seat and pick a spot that you can reach and it is not in the way or will not get wet. My last trailer .was actually over our head as it was the only place. Our current trailer we bought a floor stand TP holder that can be moved around

I too use a floor standing TP holder...works well, and with the way my wife like to rearrange, it's right up her alley!
As for the hamper, I'm not familiar with your layout, but my wife and I chose one of those pop up canvas things. We just move it where ever we aren't. I saw at a campground, the people across the street just set theirs outside under the awning. I don't think I'd do that, but I guess that WOULD be out of the way!!??

My wife also bouth a floor stand. Any place we would put it would've interfered with the door.

This is an interesting post because I just took delivery of a raptor and it doesn't have the tp holders installed. Is that common? I think the dealer forgot to install...

We've discussed this several times before. It's pretty standard in the RV industry to ship the units without the TP holder, soap dish, and toothbrush holder installed. They're usually loose in a cabinet in the bathroom.
The reason is simple. Everyone wants theirs in a different place.

Hmmmm TP holder? Who needs one??? Store the roll on a shelf and when you need to use it, insert the left index finger in the TP Roll Hole and pull with right hand....
And, if you want to check how full the black tank is after use, don't forget the goggles
OK Now I'll go back to the sunroom and watch snow melt

to the forum and to Keystone RV'ing. As for your questions, probably it would be best if you wait until you use your RV for a few times before you make any decisions on where to put the TP holder. As for the hamper, that really depends on personal preference moreso than anything else. What works for one RV'er would be in the way for someone else. Try several approaches for both your "issues" and I'm sure things will work out just fine. Other than those, how do you like your new RV?

I have never seen one installed and the Keystone Premier did not even come with one to install. Also have always had to buy soap dish and toothbrush holder.

As far as laudry hampers go, the wife and I use a mesh popup laundry bag and stow it in the tub. We rarely use the trailer shower so that is where we put it. When the need arises to use the shower, we move the bag into the bedroom until the shower dries.

Hamper - We use a pop up laundry bags in the shower. Throw cloches over shower into basket. We use the shower a lot, just open door and set the hamper on the toilet seat while in the shower. We always wipe down the shower after usage and pop the hamper pack in the shower. The frosted panels of the shower obscure what is in there. When the hamper is full, zip the top closed and set another one on top. I have also replaced the bathroom fan with a vortex fan and keep a drizit dehumidifier in the bathroom. Never much moisture in the bathroom.

You don' need to go to an Army surplus store to get one, Everything's $1.00 has them, WalMart, Target and KMart all have them for a couple of bucks. They are great for cramming dirty clothes in and then having it fit the odd shape space under the bed or in a cabinet.

We just use a trash bag for the dirty clothes. It sits on my side of the bed on the floor out of the way. Get home and it goes in the washing machine. We don't have to worry about a hamper getting dirty.
TP that sits on the bathroom counter. Out 5th is to small to mount it anywhere.

We use a free standing toilet paper holder. Stow it when we travel. We use a mesh bag with a draw string for laundry. Keep it in one of the cupboards between the bedroom and bathroom.

Jerry,
You have the same "sardine bath" that we have. You're right, I couldn't find any place to put a TP holder that wouldn't be in the way most of the time. So, I built a shelf above the toilet. It's about 9" wide, runs the length of the entire wall, and angles to the edge of the medicine cabinet. We store a few towels, wash cloths and the TP roll when not in use. We also were not real happy with the potential for urine to splash into the open storage shelf beside the toilet, so I built a removeable (lift out) door for there. It seems we just "feel better" storing things out of the way of splashes..... LOL

We use the yellow Camping World bags that they give out at the shows for our laundry. Sits nicely next to the bed. On wash day ...grab the handles and go.
