Hey everyone,
We have a 2019 Keystone Springdale Summerland Srries 2960BH.
Several warranty issues taken care of a couple years ago. Now the power awning will not open or run and pretty certain the water heater bypass needs to be replaced..
Hope to learn from y'all and any insight to the above current issues would be greatly appreciated

Power awning and hot water tank bypass

Power awning will not run. Check the fuse and replaced. Still nothing.
When we winterized went through 7 gallons of antifreeze and a lot came out of the hot water tank bypass. Thinking bypass valve?
Trailer is 2 1/2 years old. Starting to get pi**Ed
Any help would be appreciated

You've ask these questions twice, that won't get you better or more answers. Also more info is needed to adequately answer those questions.
Are your batteries fully charged? If not your awning nor anything else onboard that's 12 volt won't worked either. Are you plugged into shore power?
Are you sure you had the valves properly aligned to bypass the water heater? Or Is yours equipped with the bypass valve in the convenience center?

7 gallons is a lot of anti freeze to winterize. Did you fill the water heater, use the fresh water tank or ?? What do you mean by it came out of the water heater "bypass", that's just a valve? Was it not set to bypass and the antifreeze flowed through the water heater?

Didn't seem to help make sense of the anti-freeze (7 Gallons?) issue relative to the bypass. Sounds like the hot water tank got a dose of anti-freeze?

Check and make sure your water heater values are in the right position. Antifreeze cam out the water heater bypass? Welcome from northern MN.

First welcome to the forum. Second, getting frustrated doesn't help it only makes things worse.

Let's start by sharing some more information. The more information concerning the current issues will enable folks to render more relevant advice. Let's start with the awning. What brand is it? If you don’t know then take a picture of it. Do you have other 12vdc appliances that currently work, i.e. the slide outs, lights, radio, vent van? Are you operating the awning via a switch on the wall, a remote control, or a touch screen on the wall? Last question. Have you tried the awning in both directions? Some electric awnings will continue to extend until the fabric wraps around inside out and you have to press retract to get it to extend until its fully deployed again.

Now the water heater. In order to use 7 gal of antifreeze you may have not had the by-pass lever positioned properly when you winterized. As has been asked, is the valve on the back of the water heater or is it in a convenience center? Have you drained the water heater? If not then drain it and see if it has antifreeze in it. Bye-pass valves in actuality a diverter valve. The direct the flow in one of two directions. The handle on the valve points in the direction of the water flow. These valves rarely require replacement. Most water heaters use one valve on the cold line and a check valve on the hot. That check valve can stick open causing the water to back fill into the water heater.

Hope this helps. Hang in there and take your time this is fixable.
