No shore power to slideout

I am a bit stumped already, last night I had a vacuum cleaner plugged into the ac outlet on the slide out. I didn't realize our pup had gotten ahold of the wire and chewed it at the beginning of the cord. I plugged it in, started to vacuum and I heard a pop, as the 2 lights on the slide out went out at the same time. I then discovered what had happen. So I check the breakers, all good. The one and only GFCI that I knew of is fine. I have no idea where to begin at this point.

Are you sure there is only 1 GFCI? Also have you flipped all the breakers to OFF and then back on? A tripped breaker can look like an operating breaker.

Thinking "outside the box" for a moment, the vacuum cleaner is 120VAC (shore power) and the lights "should be" 12VDC (battery power).

Those two power sources should not be "wired together", but may be shorted together after your vacuum cleaner cord issue. So, I'd start by verifying the power source for the lights. If it's 120VAC, then you have a "shore power troubleshooting issue"... On the other hand, if the outlet (120VAC) and the lights (12VDC) are both out, then you're facing a more complex troubleshooting plan....

So, could you verify that the lights are 120VAC or 12VDC ?????

Also, the ROMEX wiring in the trailer will change to "multi-strand copper wire" at a MOLEX plug in the trailer at the spot where the wiring leaves the trailer main body and enters the slide. You can see where that wiring changes by crawling under the slide and looking at where the wiring enters the main body of the trailer. Go inside, find that spot (probably in a cabinet or inside a bed cabinet).

If there is no second GFI, you may have burned the wiring at the outlet or at the MOLEX plug without tripping the circuit breaker.... To me, the puzzling part is why the lights quit working at the same time (assuming they are 12VDC).....

You have me confused with two problems that should not be related. You said you were plugged into a 120v outlet, heard a pop and the two 12v lights in the slide went out. The two systems should be completely separate from each other unless the lights are lamps that are plugged into 120v outlets. If the lights are ceiling lights they’ll be 12v, check your fuses.

Yes the lights are 120 and take a regular bulb, there are 12V lights as well but they are fine. I've got to go get me a new volt meter, and I will check where the wiring goes outside to the slide out and the wiring behind the outlet etc.. once back.

I would check the breakers as suggested first. There's no way to tell if they are on without first tuning them all the way off then back on. Also recheck the known FGI by pushing the test button to trip it then reset it.

Search the camper high and low, inside cabinets and cupboards for another GFI. If after that all that it's still dead then I'd kill the main breaker, pull out the outlet and visually inspect it. Repair any obvious loose or burned wires then restore power and test. No power after that it's time to look at that the Molex connector inside, then outside for bad connections.

I'm betting on it being a gfi tripped. Pop from A/C short, pop goes the gfi and/or the breaker. Make sure you have that vacuum unplugged.

Is everything else in the camper that runs off of 120vac working? The pop you heard could’ve been the short where the dog chewed and might have tripped the breaker feeding the shore power.

Sorry for the delay, currently working 75 hrs a week. Anyway all breakers are ok, what's not working is everything on the slide out. 12 v lights, 120 v lights and the 120 outlet. Everything else 120 not on the slide out is working. All other outlets ,ac are working fine. I've went over everything and see only 1 gcfi outlet ever with a reset. Only one. I went outside, under the slide out and the wiring seems fine. I came inside and unscrewed the black box. Unscrewed the junction box and it kinda fell apart on me. I seen corrosion, cleaned it off and cleaned wiring to freshwater. I am confused about the junction box on slide out. It has 12v and 120v. Looks like they connect connect? I'm all confused now.I snapped it back together but the box fell apart and needs replaced. Can't tell yet if this is where the problem is. However I don't think so.

Based on what I think you said, there is NO electrical power in the slide ???

The 120 volt lights don't work
The 120 volt outlets don't work
The 12 volt lights don't work...
The outlet box fell apart when you took it out of the wall
It looks like the ROMEX (120VAC) and the strand wiring (12VDC) are both not properly connected inside that outlet box...

Did you check for AC voltage on the ROMEX wires at the connections in tha outlet box in the slide?
Did you check for DC voltage on the strand wiring at/near that outlet/junction box?

Have you located the MOLEX connector where the wiring goes from the slide, up and into the main trailer cabin?
