Advice requested on struts

The lift up cabinet doors didn't come with struts to hold them open. I'm thinking of ordering these:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...5Q3UVBE0P&th=1

The URL should link to the 7 inch silver lifts.
Here are the cabinets I intend to install them in, advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Those gas springs are way overkill to hold up those doors. You might even need help to close them. Even only one per door at a rating of 22 1/2 lbs each is a lot. I used these on our doors and they have worked well for quite a few years. https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Bowe...s%2C390&sr=8-5

It looks like the barrel end simply has a hole to screw to the side of the cabinet, correct?

I agree, 22.5 pounds of lift is way overkill.

So since the shortest opening is about seven inches just about any six inch strut with about eight pounds of force should do it seems.

Yes, it's just a simple hole for a screw. I did have to remove the doors in order to drill pilot holes to attach the bracket. The wood used in our rig was very hard and I couldn't get the small bit to work at the weird angle with the drill.
