Not sure if I understand exactly what you’re asking, but don’t use stabilizers on the slides. Just use a good seal cleaner and conditioner. Depending on what type of slide mechanism you have a good dry lube. Same with stabilizers. If you use an oil based lube, dust and dirt will cling to it. The only thing I ever do to a hitch is spray with a little white lithium grease before each use and wipe it off after the trip.

Yes, are you asking about stabilizing the rig or cleaning the components?

It would help if you went up to UserCP and added your truck and trailer info into your signature so we know what rig we’re discussing. I’ve used pin and slide stabilizers on older rigs but not on the newer 5ers. Best add on I did on this rig was the Strong Arm stabilizer system. There are other brands that do the same thing. But nothing to carry or set up. They are always there and only need to be tightened after setup and loosened to break down. Don’t waste your money on a tripod for the pin.

If your asking about lubrication use a silicone spray lube or some other dry type lubricant. DO NOT use regular WD40 on any moving parts, it's a dust/dirt magnet, it's best for rusted bolts or removing tar & NOT on ANY rubber seals or gaskets.
The best conditioner for slide seals & other gaskets is Pledge furniture polish, the cheap dollar store brand works well also, spray onto a rag, wrap around the seals & wipe the full length 2-4 times a year..
