Question grease

On the Springdale summerland. What grease is used on the easy grease axles?

Dexter has a list in the owners manual that lists their recommended/compatible greases. You can google the manual if you don’t have one with your paperwork.

If your thinking of using the Zerk fittings, do yourself a favor and DON’T. I would take the wheels off, remove the hubs and do a complete inspection of the bearings, races and brakes. You can clean all the old greas and repack with any quality grease.

If you use the zerk fittings there is no way of knowing how much grease is there and you may end up pumping grease past the seal and coating the shoes

Lucas Red & Tacky used on the wheel bearings and suspension is a superb grease..it’s all I use on my current fifth wheel and all Ove used for a long time

Do not use the Dexter EZ Lube fittings. Pull the hubs and clean and inspect and either hand pack or buy a bearing packer..

Otherwise… you will have problems

Red & Tacky is good stuff, Mystik is also very good. I’m currently using Amsoil which I like as well. My only complaint with Amsoil is I can’t get it in a tub. I just use the grease gun to put a bunch in my hand. The only one I used that I didn’t like was Mobil 1. It always left puddles on the floor under my grease gun.
