Newbie from Ohio

Sitting on a Reflection 315RLTS until we are able to sell it. We realized it is too big for us. Thinking of buying a Cougar 25RDS.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

There are many Cougar owners here, and one of them might be along to offer their advice.

Take care!

After buying the Reflection 315RLTS (37'11") you now realize the model number is not the overall length?
That 25RDS will not be 25' long, it's nearly 30' & most likely not within the weight limits of a 1/2 ton truck regardless of it's name.

Yep I know. My husband originally goofed big time. Some say the 25rds can be towed by a half ton. We have a 2021 F150 3.5L ecoboost. I am worried that we will be blown all over. All opinions welcome.

We just ordered a 25RDS from RCD up in Sunbury. Take a look at the specs on your Ford F150. I will be towing my 25RDS with a 2013 Ford F150, ecoBoost, 157" wheelbase full tow options and it will handle the 25RDS handily. Here is a link to a VIN ID decoder. Just plug your VIN number in and it will tell you what your F150 is all about. Check the stickers on the drivers side door. Hoping it works out for you.

We were just up at RCD looking at an 25RDS. The thing about our Ford F150 is it has a large moonroof so it has less payload ability. How long is it going to take for your 25RDS to come in?

"Handle it Handily "? That's a pretty bold statement considering you've never even hitched it up yet. If you want to place the safety of your family on that VIN decoder I wish you luck.
Safe travels.

ALL the pertinent numbers to determine your trucks capabilities are posted on the drivers door post of YOUR F150 along with the GVWR posted on the drivers side front corner of whatever rv you chose. From these numbers & possibly a trip to the nearest Cat scales you'll know exactly where you stand on weight & whether your truck is up to the task.
DO NOT use numbers from brochures, websites & especially ANY number a salesman says! The rv manufacturers are doing most folks new to rving a huge disservice by calling these RVs "1/2 ton towable", most ARE NOT!
A 30' 8800lb GVWR TT will be pushing the limits of any 1/2 ton!!!! Even the ALL powerful super towing F150 Ecoboost!
"Handle it handily" is definitely NOT going to be the case & VERY poor advice to be posting to other newbies.

We were told 30-90 days. I just spoke with Hailey and it's more like 75 to 90 days. The epidemic has the market place crazy.
