Alpine vs Avalanche

We are trying to decide between an Alpine and Avalanche, can someone tell us besides cosmetics, what is the difference is between the them? Is there any difference in the flooring or insulation?

I have no proof but we were "told" when looking at the Alpine that it had more insulation, particularly in the slide out floors (probably BS)

We just did the same comparison.
The differences we found were built in vacuum, heat blankets on tanks, stair lighting, and power cord spool. Suppose to be able to camp in -14f vs. -4f.

The only thing that really inspired me was the power cord spool, but it wasn't worth the additional $7k so we took the Avalanche.

Thanks so much, we are thinking the same thing. Is the hot water heater in the Avalanche gas/electric?

I got one with the 12 gallon Suburban and it is both, I've heard that if we had waited a couple of months we could have gotten a tankless.. I personally didn't care enough to wait.

Don't know what model you are looking at but below is a link to one of their popular Avalance models. Note the "upgraded appliance package" tab on the right and click to expand it. It shows a 12 gal. DSI/2 way water heater.
