I have no idea on a switch, I guess that's possible.....but the thing that comes to mind for me is to check under the slide and see if maybe the gas line is getting pinched when the slide is retracted in. If....that is the case, two other things come to mind.
1. The line obviously needs to be rerouted or maybe there is a support that has come loose.
2. Thoroughly check the line for damage if it has been pinched....and replace it if necessary....or have the dealer do it if you are under warranty or you are uncomfortable working on gas lines. The last thing you want to happen is to have a leaking propane line anywhere, but especially under your camper.
