Not a comfy sofa.

As you can see we have a Passport 19.5RB. Light weight easy to tow and with the Murphy bed it's pretty roomy.

2017 we did 3 road trips of 3 ~ 4 weeks each and 3 long weekend trips. Mostly we like to head out and explore middle America. Lotta miles.

As I said, light weight and easy to tow and without a doubt the most uncomfortable sofa ever.

When we were looking and just "test" sat on the sofa it was fine but to lounge and watch TV in the evening it get hard and it's too upright. I bought an ottoman and other than being a great place to store books and magazines it's no help.

Has anyone had a similar problem and a solution?

We sold the sofa in our unit because it was ungodly uncomfortable and a sofa bed that we never used. We put in a Lazy Boy "Wall Away" loveseat instead. It's great. Maybe one would work for you too.

The ones that came in our Raptor where the same way. We replaced them with a couple of love seats that we found at menards on sale and they are great.

Replaced the sofa in the last two unites we bought with high end powered love seats. Make sure everything fits before you make the plunge including the door opening and obstructions. If it goes in a slide, make sure the slide will close or bypass the new furniture. Good Luck.

Yes but the thing is it has to fold down so that we can open the Murphy bed.

You might want to look at the Thomas Payne collection from Lippert Components.
