Squeaky inside steps

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had squeaky steps inside there rv and what you did to fix them? Our 2007 307 RK Mountaineer steps up the hall to the bedroom and bath are squeaky they are covered in carpet.
I have removed the panels in the storage pass thru and found a wooden wall behind the panel so no easy access my question is are the treads just nailed in placed and I need to pry them up and use some liquid nails and screw them down?

Thank you,

Eric
