New Member and question about the TV on a stick

Hello everyone - So far we are loving our new Springdale 293, however I have a question about the "TV on a stick". It does not swivel very much at all and that makes it hard to get to the plug in the cabinet. Is there a release somewhere? I'm posting a picture in my Avatar so it may help you understand what I'm talking about.

I don't know about your tv mount, but my entertainment center looks the same. Mine as two swivels. It can be pulled out and to the right and will also swivel on the second piece. I did find that mine tightens it self as I use it. First I sprayed the swivels with silcone then later I had to loosen the bolts 1/8th turn. I probably pull my tv out every other day to access my printer.

Thanks for they reply - Our does not really swivel at all. I was hoping there was a release or something. There is definitely not enough room for a printer. I'll try to get better picks to post.

Some of them have a "lock pin" or as I found with mine....it's possible the extra wiring gets wrapped around the center axis point restricting the swivel. I unwrapped it and all seems well!

Hi Mark,

This one does not rotate to view from another room (in my case that would be the bathroom

) but I will check for a pin.

Hi Mowalker,

Our previous Keystone had the same rear kitchen/living area as your Springdale -- TV behind the slide-out when retracted. Ours didn't have a pin, but instead a lever to release the locking mechanism. Very inconspicuous, only about 6-8" long, slender, black tubular like the rest of the metal - ours was on the right side. Push the lever up/down to lock/unlock... when released, the TV pulled straight forward, and would then pivot as expected. When locked, it would only swivel about two inches or so. No doubt a 'safety device' for TV's behind the slide-out when retracted.

If we keep tossing out ideas, hopefully you'll find an answer!

I spent about 30 minutes looking for the lever and no luck

. Maybe the safety feature has been taken to far as to no real movement at all. It appears to be mounted to a bracket that has no real ability to give much at all. It really makes it hard to get to the plug for the TV itself as well as the coax.

As to the TV in the bathroom idea, the placement would not really allow for optimum viewing. But you had me cracking up!

Mowalker, Howdy;

I've noticed that one of the other members had found access to the mounting parts of their Television from underneath where the "fireplace" is.
Looking at your Avatar photo it appears that your's sits upon some sort of cabinate... if that is your current Television that is.....
