X2 ....

If you feel comfortable with electricity and have a meter I would start at the transfer switch. Easiest way I think would be to run generator and check for 120VAC at the transfer switch from generator, then if have 120VAC check output of transfer switch, if have generator power at generator side of transfer switch and nothing on output side transfer switch did not throw

My brother (who is Mr. electricity) is coming by after work to put a meter on the main breaker while unplugged from shore and gen running. Then whatever else he wants to do. He just drew me up on paper how the system works, which I knew already, just dont like "poking around" at that electricity stuff.

hoffbrew -
If you aren't comfortable with working around electricity, then don't. I think you are wise to get someone who is "Mr. Electricity" to come over and check things out for you and set aside the suggestions made here - especially if you "don't like poking around at that electricity stuff".
Let us know what Mr. Electricity found. Good luck.

That works if you do not feel comfortable electricity, if your brother does not know let him know there is an automatic transfer switch in the rig selecting either power from shore line or Generator, think default is shore power. Let us know what you find

Our family businesses are in the electrical industry, I know enough but I did get a zap of 120V about 15 years ago so now I stay away, has never bothered my brother and he is good with it, but it is family so sometimes trying to get help is impossible but he jumped all over this for me. I will update.

The recall affects a number of Keystone RV's which have this transfer switch: Iota ITS-50R. Alpines, Avalanches, Everests, Challengers, Fuzions, and Montanas of certain years were those that fell under the recall.

The NHTSA Campaign ID No is: 11V5T77000

For more information about the recall here on the forum, search for "Transfer Switch Recall".

It was a Keystone recall and also reported by Good Sam.
