Hello all, I was trying to find out if anyone else has had issue with this sticker or whatever it is called Keystone uses on the cabinets, bubbling or peeling off?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum

It should be covered by warranty. If for some reason you don’t want the dealership to fix it, I have had some success using a damp towel and a heat gun on low.

2022 Cougar 1/2 Ton 5ther 24RDS Cabinets cover peeling

chuckster57, I am going to try your suggestion too. Do I take that damp towel and put it on the cabinet to help cool it down after heating it on low setting of heat gun or do i use that wet towel before the heating process?

Yes, same thing is happening in our camper, also the backsplash behind the sink came off and the trim on the face of the slideout did. I just fixed everything, asking the dealer is a total waste of time. I used a needle and put glue under the covering, smoothed it out and it's holding up pretty well. Used the white Gorilla glue for the backsplash and the slide out trim, better than new.

Sorry for the late response, just saw this.

I use a damp rag to help moisten the glue and smooth out the paper. I have found a warm damp rag works best for me, it’s an “aquired” skill.

Thank Chuckster57, I finally dug out my heat gun and a cup of water ands rag and went to work. I pretty much got all that bubbles out and got all the edges to lay back down and stick.

Slider909, My back splash came loose also, I did the same thing just got some more glue and put behind it and rolled it out hard and flat. No more falling off the wall.

Hi we are having the same problem with our couger 24 rds and keystone said that they would replace all the cabinets under warranty but they change and said they would put some trim over the seams not going to work for me

Hmm they change their mind? On mine it is hard to do trim down the center where to 45 degree crown parts meet. I think I will put in a warranty ticket too. I have 2 month left on it.

I'm not going to try dealing with Camping World or Keystone, don't have any trust in either of them. So far I've taken care of all that have peeled up. I was looking at everything and thought if it gets bad enough I'll just make all new faces on everything.

I have a 2022 half ton as well, and mine we peeling as also. I filed a warranty claim, and my dealership did a good job of fixing all of the peeling.... They screwed up a bunch of other stuff in the process...lol... but the peeling on the cabinets is fixed....

I noticed that some new places were peeling again last time I was in the camper. To fix it I take some Titebond wood glue and use a #2 hypodermic needle and syringe to put the glue under the peeling part, smooth it flat while using a hair dryer on the mid setting. Wet a paper towel and wipe clean. Seems to work well. Any idea how the dealership does it?

I also noticed the cabinet door under the sink is starting to separate between the rail and stile joints. The stile that has the handle on it. Don't think I'll take it a part, will try injecting some glue in it and clamp it up. There is many little things that I want to change that drive me nuts. I doubt anyone has noticed them but I do.

Not sure yet but I'll find out and pass it on one of the service techs said the wood they used might have something to do with it
Sounds crazy to me but who knows
