swapping manual jack for electric

want to put an electric jack on my trailer but i have maybe half an inch behind the manual jack before i run into the propane covers

looks like the cover can be pushed back or in a little, is that what everyone is doing when they put on electric
seems most electric have a few inches of housing at the back

did some google searches on this being an issue and found nothing
