Alpine 3010RE

Hi! Just went from a 2012 Wildcat Extralight 282RKX to a 2014 Alpine 3010RE. Anxiously waiting for camping season to begin. Looking forward to the king bed, self leveling, and all the extra amenities and storage. Been looking for awhile, found this one owner in great shape...hope we love this one as much as we did our last (even more). Looking forward to all the great info in this forum.

Congrats. I’ve had a 2013 Alpine 3500RE for 9 years now and absolutely love it. You will definitely be happy with the auto level. One thing that was recommended to me from the wheel manufacturer is to upgrade the wheels if it still has the stock Sendel T03. They’re too light for that RV and eventually will crack around the hub. I went to the T11 with LRG tires.

Thanks for the info. I will have my hubby check on this. We have already decided to replace the tires, so perfect timing to check everything out. Yours looks great, enjoy!

Congrats on the upgrade, what are you using as a tow vehicle. When you get some time, look for the USER CP link at the top of any page. Click on it and edit your signature. Include your trailer, tow vehicle and any other info you want to disclose. Make sure you click SAVE CHANGES when done.

Thanks. We are currently looking for an upgrade tow vehicle also. Currently have a GMC 2500 looking at 3500's. Once we have one, I will update my info. So excited for this year's camping season to begin!

Sounds good. If you can, I would get a DRW. I had a flat on my inner rear DS tire on I40 with my previous fiver hooked on. Sure was nice being able to ease over and not fight losing one side.

Long box will have higher payload and ride smoother.

Actually, the long bed has about 300 lbs less payload, at least with GM. I can’t speak for other brands, but the OP has GM now and mentioned looking for 3500, so I’m assuming they plan to stay with GM.

The 3010RE is probably the best floorplan and smartest use of space in that year design..

The biggest plus is all three slide outs are all hydraulic and the Lippert six point hydraulic level up system will be trouble free

The appliances in the 2014 are excellent.. The Dometic RM1350 fridge is a very good model and usually has zero issues

The Suburban SF42Q furnace is much much better than the Dometic Atwood AFM series Alpines began using in later year models.. should be trouble free

The Suburban SW12 DEL water heater works great and both LP{ and 120 volts AC and if you keep the anode rod replaces, drain and flush the tank after each trip you will have no issues

UPGRADE the TIRE size on that 2014 to G rated 14 ply tires NO MATTER what anyone else says...
The 2014s came with 10 ply E rated crap and the entire 2015 and later all went to 14 ply G rated tires.

The Sendel wheels are also. rated at 110 PSI and do not need upgrading.. verify yours by crawling under neath and look on the backside of the wheel spokes.. Look for 110PSI

Use all metal valve stems only

That OEM 10 ply E rated tire that is stamped on the OEM placard is noting but crap.. Listen to me and UPGRADE the tire size.. NO MATTER WHAT some experts here say...

The 10 ply tire IS NOT gonna holdup...

Your axles are Dexter 7K and will be trouble free provided you hand pack the wheel bearings.. Still running my OEM Dexter brakes, wheel bearings, races, and wet bolts on the suspension..

Also take a long hard look at ALL wiper seals on the three slides.. These are the clip on style and can be easily changed by removing 2 screws and sliding the old seal out and cutting a new seal to fit an installing...

The wheels that came on mine were Sendel T03 and were only rated for 95 psi. Several people had trouble with them cracking where the spoke meets the hub. I checked with Sendel on why people were having that problem. The guy asked me to send him the specs on mine, he said change them that they’re too light of a wheel for that RV. I agree with everything else Chuck said.

IF the OP does what I stated and crawls under and looks at the PSI rating then they will know..

2014's came OEM with wheels stamped at 110 psi versus the 100 psi on earlier Alpines...

G rated tires are what belongs on ANY ALPINE and that is why ALL 2015s switched over to 14 ply Provider tires.. The OEM 10 ply E rated tires will not last long on an Alpine

My understanding with the 2014 it depended on the build date. Some of the early builds still had the T03 and they switched to a different wheel part way through the year. The T03 is a 95 psi wheel. They can crawl under and check to make sure, but a pretty easy indicator is if it’s the T03 or the other wheel. I know the 2015 and later all had the higher rated wheel and tire.

Welcome . You'll love the Alpine. I've always wanted one and purchased a new one back in 2017 3660FL with 6 slide outs. 'We" and I say we because I recently got married. We enjoy the unit very much. I tow it with 2021 F350 Dually diesel . I used to drive SRW's all the time until finally did the switch to a dually and now would not go back to an SRW. I agree little difficult in parking areas or drive thru's but the safety factor was more important to me. I had an inner rear tire go flat on a 2016 I had once and had no idea until we got to the campground. God bless and many safe travels
