does the 735lbs of torque make a noticeable difference vs 650 lbs and how much weight are you towing ?

No complaints here! Have a 2011 F250 SD 6.7L diesel at 400 hp and 800 lbs of torque pulling a 36' Raptor toyhauler weighing in around 12,000 lbs.

I did not have any RV trailering experience prior to buying the truck and trailer. I had only towed much smaller single and double axle utility trailers. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy pulling the Raptor which has included some road time in very wet and windy conditions.

At 400HP / 800ibs Torque... You bet we are happy! Gotta tell ya, fully loaded for 2 week vacation and a golf cart in the bay, it's a dream towing.

What kind of mileage are you guys getting with your newer ford's? I have a 2008 F350 6.4 stock and getting 12-14 mpg does not matter if I am towing the boat or 5er or just driving around town.

I feel lucky with this statement around town I am getting about 15-16mpg+-, on the highway I can push 19-20mpg+-..
towing 5er...10/10.5mpg,
it has gone up since I got the 5er over the TT??? And I can not explain that. The TT averaged 9-9.5mpg towing it. Not that 1mpg is making that much difference when diesel is $4.00gallon.
Well I guess it does that means I can go another 36 miles before filling up

Big difference with the cold weather for us, until the beast warms up, it sucks the fuel pretty good.... We only tow in the warmer weather (so far) and find all n' all, on the East Coast, we are getting like average of 11mpg. Mixed highway/town... bout 15mpg and straight highway 17mpg. Have like 15k/miles on our 2011 now.

Randy, my father in-law has the 7.3 2001 and he is getting 19-24 mpg. I told him if he ever sells it I am first in line.

I love my truck even with the lower mpg I just wish Ford would of left off all the smog crap and the truck would be getting over 20 mpg.

I was a chevy fan for years that is how I grew up, but when it came time for me to buy a truck I hated the way there trucks looked so I went with Ford then when the time came to trade up to a bigger cab, again Ford won in the looks. I hated the looks of the GMC and Chevy if they ever get it together in the future I might take a second look but if not it will be Ford again.

jwv, I owned a 2006 Chev 6.6l duramax 360 hp 650 ft/lbs torque, My current truck is a 2011 Ford F 350 6.7l Powerstoke 400 hp 800 ft/lbs torque as far as noticing the difference absolutly, when pulling these heavy loads torque is way bigger than hp, torque is what gets the load rolling.Chevy has similar numbers in there trucks also as far why i switched i had problems with my Chev so it was time for a change. There was quite a noticable difference between my two trucks especially upon take off under heavy load,As far as mileage goes 15-16 city 19-21 hwy, i will lose mileage in the winter here as per the additive they put in our fuel here for the winter usally a mile or two per gallon, as far as mileage with the new 5er if have not had the pleasure of pulling it anywhere far yet as we just purchased it in late Dec.and it is now in storage, so the answer in my opinion is yes it makes a difference. 12500 dry 15800 gross
