Rookie RV'er Hideout 176BH

We rented a class C rv last summer, enjoyed the experience but it could have been better. Decided to purchase a "starter" trailer and went to the local RV show and purchased a Hideout 176BH. Our tow vehicle is a 2016 Touareg rated to tow up to 7500lbs, so we should be good. We're looking forward to starting an active RV lifestyle in the spring!

Welcome to the forum. Keep in mind that manufacturers often claim "tow ratings" that are with a vehicle that has been configured to tow the maximum amount of weight using base models and all available packages. In addition, this towing was done using a flat bed trailer with blocks and there was little wind drag which you will have with a 12' sail behind you. Your pin weight based on the gross weight of your trailer will be in the neighborhood of 650 lbs so add hitch and passenger weight and hopefully you will not exceed your vehicle's payload. The MAX payload of that one of a kind specially equipped model is a bit over 1000 lbs. Look in your driver door frame for the vehicle's payload which will look like this:
