My panel does not have a battery disconnect. I installed my own at the battery. Properly installed a battery disconnect should prevent battery drain from any device installed on your RV, (radio, air monitors, etc.), when your RV will not be used for several weeks. A battery will lose up to 50% of it's charge just sitting idle for a couple of months. Just make sure you turn it on before towing. Remove for winter storage if you live in a cold climate and keep the battery charged during storage.
