I have problem with my sofa slide. It has worked fine this summer until now. Slide will not move in or out with the rocker switch. Switch has power, motor will move slide in and out when connected directly to a 12V source. When slide switch is pressed it trips the resetable fuse in the battery compartment. Is a limit switch or slide controller used in this application? Possible wiring short, hope not. I was told by Keystone the motor may be "amping out" but didnt suggest a solution. I can manually retract with a small battery or the flex shaft so not stranded. Any ideas would be welcome.

Replace the 12v dc circuit breaker. They get weak with time.

Thank flybouy, already replaced earlier. Im sure now I have a dead short. Even with the slide motor disconnected it will still trip the circuit breaker. More testing to be done to try and isolate the short.

Sounds like the positive wire is hitting the ground (frame most likely) somewhere. Good luck in your search.
