Leaking Windows

I have a 2014 Cougar 337 FLS. There’s three long window in the hallway and two of the three leak. The water collect in the bottom of the frame. These are fixed windows, don’t open. I’m thinking that it’s the glass to frame where the water comes in. I figure if it’s the frame to the side of the fifth wheel the water would run down the wall. There’s a four window that’s mounted horizontally above the kitchen slide out and it’s dry.

Anybody else have this problem and how did you fix it?

The photos are of the windows in order front to back of the fifth wheel.

Are they leaking, or is it condensation?

There weep holes in the bottom to allow water to drain, if it’s rainy and windy they might appear to leak. If you can see water running down the glass, then I would be looking at the sealant on the top edges.

No weep holes in the bottom of the frame. I don’t have a photo but there’s two in the bottom, on the outside below where the inner frame is. Believe it so any water that gets behind the frame can drain out.

One test I want to do is use a hose and see if I can find how it’s getting in. It rained today so I’ll check in the morning.

Yes those are weep holes. If you look close, I believe you’ll see they go to the inside if I’m not mistaken.

I believe they do go to the inside. Mine look the same and get plugged now and then. I have used a small straw (like a drink mixing straw) to clean them out.

If they are leaking then you could trouble shoot a bit by first getting them dry on the outside then using some tape to seal around the frame. If they still leak then you could tape around the glass to frame. If they are still leaking then the water is likely coming from somewhere else. You might be able to isolate where/how they are leaking.

Condensation is a good bet as well, though. However, if it's just a couple windows that would be suspect.

The thing is I don’t see any type of opening on the inside when I dry them out. 🤷*♂️

That’s what a friend said but right now there’s no heat on and this morning there was a little in the one window that I thought was not leaking. 🤷*♂️

I’ll give it a try, I should have several things in the shop to try. 👍

There’s storms on the way and a tornado warning so tomorrow I’ll check on them. With all the rain I have to wait if I try and seal them.
