How do I remove TV from bracket?

In my Passport, the Jensen TV is mounted on the revolving panel between the living area and bedroom. Short of disassembling to revolving panel, how can I remove the TV so I can get at the jacks?

My husband loves to play video games and the connections are on the back, not accessible from the side or bottom, so we will have to remove the TV to install the plugs for the Ps3. I couldn't tell how to do that, so I would be VERY interested in finding out how to do it as well.

If you have a mirror on the back side of the tv then remove the mirror. You can then get to the wire and screw that hold the tv on the mount. That that how it setup on the bullet. Good luck.

In my alpine the bedroom tv is in a like confined space. I only had to lift it up and out to have acesss to cables. Maybe yours is the same.

I tried lifting, but it was resisting so I didn’t force it. I can’t really get my fingers back to feel much.

If it is a standard wall mount for a flat screen TV, then there should be two strings or straps hanging down behind the bottom of the TV. They may not be visible from straight on, but if you can look up from the floor or feel back there with your fingers, you should find them. They each control a spring loaded latch on the mounting rail.

Pull them both down at the same time, and pull the bottom of the tv out from the wall slightly (an inch or two is fine) and then lift the whole thing off the mounting rail.

Thanks, SteveC. That’s the type of trick I was looking for. It’s hard to see from the fuzzy picture, but it’s a pretty tight fit around the bottom. I’ll look around with a flashlight for any triggers hanging down. Otherwise I’ll be breaking out the screwdriver.

That looks just like our setup on our 312BH and we also have the outdoor option. With the locking pin in place, I am able to turn the TV to my left about 1-2" and this allows me to see behind the right side where I found a single strap. I pulled down on the strap until a felt it release the latch and the mount arm can be extended outward or you can remove the set by lifting up off the bracket. The strap on mine is about 1" wide and 6-8" long.

The first time doing this took some effort to get the latch to release. I used a little WD40 on the latch and worked it in by pulling the strap until it started working smoothly. Now it is easy to release and move the TV outside or add/remove cords as needed. Hope this helps.

I have one of these type of tvs in a Passport in my bay at work ill check on how to remove it tomorrow seeing as you guys warranty may be ending soon.

I had some time on our trip yesterday and took a look. I had to remove the mirror/frame on the back. That exposed the back wall of the TV cabinet which had a square hole in the bottom third. Through that I could see all the wires, plus two screws that held the sliding brackets together. Once I took out the screws, the TV lifted up and off the bracket with ease.

Now I want to get an HDMI cable so I can hook up my iPhone/iPad to the TV to play videos and such.

If its the same as my bullet you can run the hdmi cable down the swival pipe from the cabinet above.

i found that removing the radio/dvd player is easy just 4 screws (1 on each corner) that are behind plastic covers. remove that then all wiring and the plug for the tv. hope this helps
