If you are fukk time bt traveling about it would depend on where you are. I'm not a fan of the "disposable" filters like the in-line blue Camco filters. A good cartridge filter 10" and two depending on location. The first water related thing for me is to open the spigot or hydranr BEFORE connecting the hose. That will flush any sediment from the pipe and dirt from the hose connection. Then a good quality ptessure regulator (not the junk that came with the trailer), then the hose. Flush again before connecying to filter. I have my filter mounted to a flush mounted rack on the trailer.
Turn on the water, check for leaks, go inside and open faucets to bleed out any air then turn on water heater. I've been in vg that a carbon filter is all that's needed but I use one that also filters gor cysts and other things. You can get "sorftner" cartridges but they don't last long in very hard water. Spens any appreciable time in those areas and you'll need a stand alone softner.
