Cougar 364bhl tank capacity
Does anyone know how big the rear black tank is? I can’t find the information anywhere and I haven’t picked my unit up yet to scroll through the owners manual.
The website only says (1) 76G gray and (1) 76G black but I know there’s at least two blacks for each bathroom.

It will most likely be a 38 gallon.

As stated above, if you know there are multiple holding tanks (2 gray and or 2 black) then the website will only list total capacities. Fresh water will include water heater.

The 364BHL advertised specs are:
81 gallons fresh water (one 75 gallon tank and a 6 gallon water heater)
76 gallons black waste (two 38 gallon tanks, 1 for the front toilet and 1 for the rear toilet)
76 gallons gray waste ( two 37 gallon tanks, 1 for the front bath sink and shower and 1 for the rear bath sink and galley sink)
On some trailers, the rear bath sink will also drain into the rear black tank. On those trailers, the rear gray tank is used only by the galley sink.

John if you install a external Valtera valve on the sewer connection you can equalize the gray tanks and get a little more versatility out of the two tanks so you don’t end up with a full rear shower tank and hardly full kitchen sink tank on some models ... is that correct? ..that’s what I was thinking.

If the front and rear tanks are connected (by Keystone) into a single dump outlet, you're right. If there is a "front sewer outlet" for the two front tanks (1 gray, one black) and a "rear sewer outlet" for the two rear tanks (1 gray, one black) then there is no "factory interconnection" by which to equalize the tanks. In trailers built that way, the owner has to either pull forward to dump the rear tanks or connect one outlet, dump then move the connection to the other outlet to dump those tanks or connect the sewer hoses with a "Y" fitting.
While it is "possible to equalize" by connecting a sewer hose between the front and rear outlets and then opening both of the gray valves and "massaging the drooping sewer hose" to push water back and forth....
Anyway, yes, it's possible (and easy) to equalize tanks with a "plumbed connection to one sewer outlet"... Not so easy with one outlet in front and another outlet in the rear of the trailer.
