Question 2020 Fuzion 373 entry door issue

Hi All,

We just picked up our new 373 and love it! One issue we're facing is the entry doors, both front and back, are extremely hard to close. After close inspection the receiver on both is held in by two small screws and the plate is "adjustable" so it will tweek when closing and not latch properly. It literally takes so much force to close them, even after lining up the plate to it's furthest setting (towards the outside of the trailer) that we lock them and only enter/exit through the patio sliding door. We have had two other trailers, Grand Design and another that didn't take half the force to close the doors.

Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas?

Thanks to anyone who responds and be safe

Welcome to the forum

It may be as simple as lubricating the bolt and lock mechanism. Use DRY lube as it doesn’t attract dust and dirt.

Thanks for the recommendation chuckster57 and I will probably do that as well. After checking the issue again it seemed it could be solved by improving the screw length and size and forcing the mount to stay at it's furthest point from the inside of the RV. A couple pilot holes later and screw update and she's closing like a dream.

Probably shouldn't have posted until I investigated thoroughly but thanks again!

We found the deadbolts on our new Raptor would not fully lock (both doors). Turns out the recessed area that accepts the extended locking bar had not been completely drilled out. Quick work with a dremel tool followed by some lubrication fixed our issues.

Keep a little graphite lube in your junk drawer. If you get out and need it and can't find it then rub a candle across the striker/latch, that will usually work in a pinch.
