Say goodbye to The Bombs

I think I did all I could do in the tire department:

  • New Sailun S637 235/85R16 (DOT 0517) replacing Provider 10 ply. Bought 5; one for the spare
  • New HiSpec 6.5" wide wheels to give the recommended width for the tire; bought 5
  • Metal valve stems
  • Lug-centric balanced
  • TPMS TireTracker TT-500
  • Harbor Freight infrared thermometer

See, I listen to all you guys!

Tires from simpletire; wheels from recstuff. Found "Best One Tire & Service of Mid America" to mount and balance. $1 per inch! Out the door for all 5 mounted and balanced for $90! Put them on the 5er myself at home.

Couldn't you have just gone to a junkyard and bought a set of tires and wheels off of an old Toyota Camry and put them on?.....look at all the money you would have saved!

Good choice and a very nice upgrade! Well done sir!

Camry?? You should source wheels from an 90's era Toyota Supra. Those are the only ones to have.... Camry... pffft!

Great upgrade! The peace of mind from not worrying about which tire is going to blow every minute will be priceless.
