Washer/Dryer
I am looking to purchase a washer/dryer for my 2016 Keystone 370RD Avalanche.
Are there any opinions as to...
1. Stackables vs combos
2. Model preference

Tried to post a reply but the system locked up so I will try to recompose my post here.
In our 2006 Montana, I installed a Haier combo that we purchased used off Craigslist. It handles small loads well but is slow, which I guess is expected from these ventless combo machines. Install was straight forward, but it's good no small children were around. I removed the cabinet doors to help the install and never reinstalled them for ease of use and since the machine looks good as is. I placed a 3/4 inch piece of plywood inside the cabinet to help slide the machine over the cabinet lip.
I agonized for a while over how to winterize it and came up with a system that works. Let me know if you want that process.
We have never tried any other model or brand.

We purchased a Kenmore "Laundry Center" which is a one piece unit with the dryer over the washer https://www.appliancesconnection.com...509798&ref=rap. We are very happy with it. Holds more clothes than we had expected but it does dry slowly and you can only do one function at a time....dry or wash.
One word of warning: determine where the washer drains. Our's drains into the black water tank and during the rinse cycle on the second load, it causes the tank to overflow. Yep, we learned that the hard way. Now we empty the black water prior to starting each load.
ETA - we saved about $250 by purchasing from a Sears scratch & dent store. It had a large scratch on one side but fits tightly into the closet so it is not seen.

We weighed the benefits of a washer/dryer and talked to a number of long-time campers. The almost universal word was the dryer took almost forever (110V) and the wash loads were small. We bought a portable dishwasher from Craigslist for $50, removed the castors and installed it in the garage. Everything fits perfect and I wash very few dishes.

Had the vented combo. Small loads take over 2 hours. Clothes never completely dry. Wife said get rid of it and unless a stackable to try in the future she would rather not have one at all.

We love our washer dryer. Normally we put our camper in the campground for the whole summer, and when our new son was born we washed spit up cloths every day.
Not sure how long it took to run because we have it in our garage and most of the time were at the pool so it doesn't matter to us. Put everything in dirty, come back and it's clean and dry.
We do run smaller loads, but we don't have to sit and watch the load like in a laundry mat so if we need to leave it's no issue. Now that are sons are 7 and 2 we will run a load every couple days, normally before we leave to go swimming and it's normally done before we get back.
Ours is vented.
