Took the plunge

Upgraded to 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with 6.6 duramax. Only took 3 trips to dealer and walked out on Saturday. Here she is...

Just confirmed our 4 weeks vacation for next summer. Headed west...

Enjoy the truck and the vacation. Hope you are headed far enough west to hit the Rockies, that's when you will really be glad you have the Dmax.

Thank you. Yes we are planning on Rockies, Montana and Yellowstone. Now the fun of planning out a route through northern states and a southern return.

I thought the best marriage was a Cummins and an NV5600?

What about a Ford OBS with a 12V Cummins and an Allison?

Airlift 5000 bags, Prodigy brake control, 5 gauges on the pillar.Used to tow a '97 Jayco 323RKS.

I saw a cool one for sale on CL tonight. I think it was a 1999 Suburban with a 12V Cummins and trans.

Well, if you're going to put an auto behind a Cummins the Allison would be my first choice.

My DW would disagree with you. She hates my white 3500, she still kicks me for buying it. Every time we see another color she reminds me that it looks better than the white. I remind her that I looked at other trucks and got the white for $5k less. She doesn't care, she hates the white.
