The proof is in the pudding. Here is a video of a new Jeep with the same Ecodiesel with 240hp and 420lb/ft of torque towing a 5700lb boat. It also has the new 8speed trans. The thing is absolutely gutless! Yes i know it isn't in a ram 1500 but I'm just basing it on the engines performance. I would hate to see how it would perform with a travel trailer of the same weight with all the extra wind resistance. But i will admit it gets GREAT fuel mileage.
Here is a video of the Ecoboost towing 10,000lbs up the same hill. The truck also just has the regular tow pkg and does not have either the max tow or HD payload pkgs. And just for the record it has been said that the Ecoboost on premium fuel makes 385hp and 430lb/ft of torque. Ford is obviously the best choice...
