"bury the threads" sway control?

I use a WDH and a sway bar. The sticker next to the handle literally says "bury the threads" but my dealer tech said he simply tightens his. How tight do you folks tighten or crank down the handle on your sway control bar? I think mine would be better if I did but I am afraid I will damage it.

When I was towing I used two sway bars and just tighten both up so if a strong cross wind happened it would move the trailor a little but would not sway back and fourth. Also if you go to tight with your sway bars you will feel the back end of your tow vehicle pull right to left in a cross wind situation. Not a good feeling.

The instructions should explain... The screw with the handle is tightened as much as it wil go. There is a smaller bolt that you adjust for more or less friction.

Bob thanks. As I thought. I have been tightening mine but both the trailer and tow vehicle are too new to me to make small-screw adjustments as next. You are in my neck of the woods so hope to run across you sometime.
