interior lites on Alpine

I have a 2013 Alpine 3700RE, and one of the interior lite circuits keeps blowing bulbs. It is the 2 lites that are in line with the entry door, the bulbs are the more expensive 2 prong type I believe are called G4.I have taken care not to touch them when changing them but after a few flicks of the switch they will still blow (not both at once but when one blows the other isnt too far behind)all the other interior lites seem ok but I also have a problem with the basement lite circuit blowing a fuse every now and then (15amp plug in type)I am still under warrenty but am wondering if any one else has had this problem?

I would check the voltage not that anything should be too far off. Change them with LED cheap bulbs maybe. I think everyone in out Alpine quit within a couple of months

Heat is the biggest enemy of halogen bulbs. That's why there's the caution about not getting any body oils (from your fingers) on the glass during installation. If you put halogens in a recessed ceiling location and there's a bit of insulation above them, they can't vent properly and will get a bit hotter than normal. That can easily lead to premature bulb failure. As was said, get a couple of "cheap LED's an put in them, it will solve your problem. If you're intent on keeping the halogens, pull the light fixture out of the ceiling and make sure there's nothing blocking the venting of the fixture into the ceiling or the cabinet bottom.

I ordered a couple LED's from amazon and plugged them in.I was so impressed that I placed another ordered for enough to re-bulb the whole trailer plus a couple spares(so all the lights give of the same glow) I touched the lens of a light with the halogen in it and was hot and touched the led and was cold.

Which LED did you order? I might get some for my Alpine.

If you check back on a thread by Computech ( 921 LED Replacements) in the Modifications and Upgrades section of the forum, you will find some info about the specific kinds of LED bulbs that some have ordered either on eBay or Amazon. There is also a Sticky in that same section about LED lights.
