Ely koa

Stayed at the Ely, NV KOA for almost a year due to short housing supply where I work. I have 80 gallons of propane in a 100 gallon tank. They are refusing to give me credit of any kind. I know that they are going to turn around and make a double profit when they sell the tank to the next camper. I tried calling the propane distributor in the area and their hands are tied as I don't have an individual account with them.

I feel royally sc........ by the KOA.

We are going on a month long camping trip soon and you can sure bet that we will not stay at one KOA.

Cal & Marianne -
Maybe there is some way of "funneling" a portion of the remaining 80 lbs into your own 30 lb propane tanks??? Can the propane distributor do this for you?
What about a call to the head office of KOA and expressing your displeasure and asking for some kind of compensation through them? It's probably and individually owned and operated campground so you may not get far with this approach but it might allow you to release some of the frustration.
Good luck.

curlyfungirl, Howdy;

I'm with Festus2's idea of contacting the Franchiseer about
the franchisee. Most franchise agreements spell out exactly what
types of behavior are and are NOT acceptable. As you stated, your feelings
about using other KOAs hurt the whole franchise operation and corporate
really doesn't like that kind of attitude being spawned by the actions of
the franchisees.
Just my opinion ...
