superglide or B&W slider
I am trying to decide which to get the pullrite super glide or B&W slider. The B&W I will have to wait till ??? end of April to get the Pullrite I can get now. The Pullrite is a bit less in price over-all but, not much. I am leaning toward the pullRite anyone have any negatives, other than other type of hitches can't pull your trailer because of the plate? Also with an Avaalnche 341TG having a 12,195 advertised dry weight and 2,275 hitch weight would you go with the 16K or 20K?
First 5vr so I am learning.
Thanks!

If you are going to get the super glide rails that you can quick release and take out of the bed of your truck to get the bed back when not towing, you may see if the 20k affords you that option. I would imagine a 20k for your heavy pin weight? Anyone else?

We have the pull rite 16K with the super rails. So far I really like this hitch but we are new to a 5er ourselves. I wish I had more experience to offer you.
I was out your way at the Pierce plant three months ago. Very nice area. Good luck on your search and Happy camping

You need to know your GVW of the trailer. The dry weight is meaningless. Salesmen use that to help convince you that you have enough truck. Loaded weight is all that matters. I have also been shopping for a hitch and was advised by nearly everyone that pined in, go with the bigger hitch. My trailer GVW is about 15,500, but I'm getting the 20k. Good luck with your decision and enjoy your new rig. I know I will.

We have an older 18k super glide with super rails we use with our 324 and love it. While I have yet to take it out of the bed, I have that option. In a previous life it pulled a 16-17k toy hauler without issue.
Yes the capture plate can be a little bother when you go to some service centers... Only because they need to be aware when they move your unit around so the forklift doesn't damage the plate. The upside is if you permanently mount the capture plate not just anyone can drive off with your trailer without permission!

I second what Dave said. Your trailer will probably weigh 14,500 (+) when loaded and full of water. The pin weight is anybody's guess, but for a reference I can tell you that my trailer has an advertised dry pin of 2390 and has an actual weight of 2750 when loaded for travel. In my opinion, if you don't have at least a 10% margin you should get the bigger hitch. It looks like you'd be teetering right at that brink. I'd personally step up.

We have the 18K Pull Rite with super rails. Works great, I highly recommend it.
