New Member Back in the Saddle

I used to RV about 20+ years ago when I was also trucking cross country - What can I say, I like to drive.

Picked up a 2022 Cougar 24SABWE for weekends and occasional vacation. I still have a few years before I can go on longer trips. It's being pulled by my daily driver - 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel.

I've enjoyed the info in the forum so far and look forward to participating more.

I'm not sure if the Eco Diesel affects the payload on a 1/2 ton pickup like the bigger diesel does in 3/4-1 tons, but you may want to check the sticker on your driver's door for the payload of your truck.
That rv has a GVWR of 7800lbs at 13% tongue weight that's just over a 1000lbs alone + the weight of the WDH at about 100lbs + people/pets/stuff in the truck, subtract these weights from your truck's payload.

Just from memory but the last EcoDiesel I checked had a 13xx payload IIRC correctly. OP you might want to look at that white/yellow sticker inside the door to get your payload then hit a scale when all loaded up for travel.

Welcome to the forum ourCougar! Lots of good folks here willing to help if needed.

Found this online:

2016 RAM 1500, BIG HORN, 3.0-LITER V6 ECODIESEL, CREW CAB, 6'4" box, AUTO, 4X4, MAX PAYLOAD: 1,113lbs, MAX TOWING: 8,750lbs.

Max payload means likely somewhat less than the hypothetical 1113 lbs.
