Most modern converts are very good at maintaining batteries. I rarely have to add water. I thought that the literature for Powermax (I don’t have yet) said that there was a setting for three stage and for constant. Maybe a constant setting is not float mode???

What kind of battery is it? If a marine fake deep cycle that is about their lifetime. If a real deep cycle bring it in for a warranty replacement.

PM3-LK series are switch selectable as constant voltage or 3 stage 14.6BU/13.8AB/13.2FLT. Both modes are pot adjustable to set peak voltage.

I have one on a class A, one I'm going to install in the Montana and another 100A unit I use on the bench for other "stuff."
