popping breaker on shore power

My breaker that I feed the RV when not in use is popping. I opened all the breakers in the RV and it still happens. I checked with my meter and I have one leg grounded out. I assume it has to be either in the plug or before the MDP. Are there any known issues regarding this?

Water heater element possibly? Can you shut off the water heater breaker and switch and try it? Edit : Just read that you had breakers off. Also it would help if you updated your user signature to include your trailer model

So I guess you have 50A service? If so are you using any adapters?

The next logical step in the progression of troubleshooting this would be....
1. Unplug the umbilical cord from the trailer.
2. Reset the feed breaker that goes to the outlet where the RV cord is plugged into.

If the breaker does not trip, you have an issue in the trailer itself. If the breaker DOES trip, you have an issue with the cord that feeds the trailer.

Yes it's 50 amp service, and it's in the trailer for sure. I can test where the cord connects and I have a leg grounded. I hope it's not the wire between the plug and the MDP as I assume that's going to be hard to work on. If it's not an easy fix in the plug or the MDP I'll just take it in for warranty.

If the shore cord is removable, simply take the receptacle out and look at the back side where the wires attach. You can rule out the wiring or receptacle.

I would caution you not to get too "deep" in your troubleshooting/analysis steps and either cause a problem or leave evidence that you were working on it; they're likely to call it tampering and refuse warranty. If you know your service manager you might visit with him before anything extensive or intrusive.
