Air not cooling on new high country

Hello. I am new to this forum and we just purchased a 2021 high country 385br. It’s parked under a camper cover also. It has not been that hot yet here but the air isn’t cooling good during the day. The 2nd unit in bedroom is good but the living area won’t cool good. Any suggestions or ideas? Our other camper never had this issue and it only had one ac unit on it. Thanks in advance.

Does it have the in command system? Make sure it’s switched to cool and auto for fan..if I switch my fan to low the ac will not run at all even when on cool ..only the fan runs on low.

One observation from your post: Is the cover that the trailer is parked under potentially causing an issue with the A/C dissipating heat above the unit????

I'd suppose one way to check would be to drag the trailer out from under the cover and see if it makes any difference.

You "could have a problem" with the A/C or with the thermostat/sensors located in the camper, but before dragging it all the way back to the dealership to have it checked, I'd make sure it's not a situation caused by the way it's parked under the cover.

Thank you for your reply. Yes it is on cool auto. We just can’t figure out why it’s nit cooling the living area. I am not sure what else I need to do. We are seasoned campers but new to the keystone product. A person could stand up on the camper so I think there is plenty of room between the camper and the cover. Could just be we were used to our other camper and keystone is different maybe? Thanks again for your replies.

Lee you are comparing the MHC 385br to your "other" camper. What was the other camper? Are you comparing apples to apples? A 385br is a big trailer at right on 41' and with that enclosed center BR if you only have 2 ACs they may be stretched too thin. Are they both (?) 15k units?

My Montana 3854br(same floorplan) does fine on 85 degree days but is a little toasty in the main living area when 90+. High 70s to low 80s on the thermostat. Bedroom is fine. They offer a third ac unit(prewired) where the fantastic fan is by the bonus room for a reason …

Thank you! I didn’t realize that fan was prewired. We may have to invest. Our previous camper was maybe 2 feet shorter but we didn’t have that problem. Same size ac units. It’s nit been really hot yet and we are realizing it just can’t keep up. Thanks again for all your replies. We have only had this brand new camper a couple months but not as pleased as what we had hoped. We have had several minor issues, it must have not been put through a test at the factory on all the piping and tanks areas. Thanks again for all your help and replies.
