2009 Raptor Slide Leak Repair

I purchased a Salvaged 2009 Raptor that has several issues: 1) Ramp has detached at hinges (will build new door using 1x1 aluminum), 2) rear water tank brackets all busted and tank hanging (will replace brackets and add new brackets from side to side as well), 3) Living Room Slide has leaked for quite awhile and underlayment has rotted.

The Living Room slide is my biggest concern as I can not see the damage, I just know it is there. There is water intrusion into the RV at the dinning and couch. The rotted area is at the front outside section of the slideout roof. I will need to remove the membrane (is this TPO?). I will then need to repair the underlayment material and reinstall a NEW Roof membrane. Should this membrane be TPO or EPDM?

The last slide I did 10 years ago was EPDM, so have not done a TPO before if that is what the material is.

Being a 2009, the roof membrane is probably EPDM. The ONLY way to know for sure is to inspect the membrane. If it is black with a white/tan surface, it's EPDM. If the color is the same through the entire membrane, it's TPO. They handle the same and are essentially the same when it comes to installation, so no significant differences in what you'll be doing (other than using different materials to adhere the membrane to the new roof structure.
